Showcase Productions Society is very committed to developing opportunities for the expression of any aspect of the performing arts for our public. Because we value the thirst for education, we offer two $2,000.00 scholarships each year to students graduating from any high school in Cumberland County; one to a student from the Amherst Regional High School and one from any other high school in the county. Additionally, we offer opportunities for students to attend special learning activities such as dance workshops, theatre workshops and music camps. This 11-day, tour was developed at the request of a group of rug hookers as a vacation and a learning experience. Seats are limited so it is suggested that those interested register early to avoid disappointment.
 
 
TOUR PRICES:

Friday, September 28 – Depart Halifax at 8 am with pick-ups in Truro, Amherst, Moncton to overnight in Augusta, ME.
(No meals included today)
Saturday, September 29 – Depart Augusta and arrive in Guild, NH for shopping stop for our hookers at Dorr Mill Store. Lunch will be on our own in Newport and we will depart after shopping and proceed to Windsor, CT for the night at the Courtyard by Marriott.
(Breakfast only included)
Sunday, September 30 – Depart Windsor & travel to Lancaster and check into the Heritage Hotel, our home for the next 7 nights. After freshening up at the hotel we will depart for dinner at Plain & Fancy Restaurant

Monday, October 1
Group A – Attend the Workshop
Group B - Depart hotel after meeting guide for Farmlands Tour. Lunch on your own & shopping at Kitchen Kettle Village with time to explore the village of Intercourse shops along Main Street. We will then depart Kitchen Kettle Village to Bird in Hand Bake Shop and finish our day at the Bird in Hand Market.
Group A & B - will enjoy a delicious meal at the Golden Corral and the evening will be free to relax at our hotel, or maybe a little shopping. (Breakfast, Farmlands Tour, Dinner)
Tuesday, October 2
Group A – Attend the Workshop
Group B - Depart for downtown Lancaster to explore the variety of shops and museums in the area including Lancaster’s Central Market (the oldest continuously operating farmers market in the country), plus a variety of boutique shops. Lunch will be on your own in the downtown area. Following lunch we will return to our hotel to freshen up before attending a 3 p.m. matinee performance at American Music Theatre.
Group A & B – Dinner this evening will be with an Amish family in their home. Four genera-tions of the family will participate during the evening and be there to converse and answer questions you may have. You’ll be amazed how “at ease” everyone becomes during the evening. The home will be filled with laughter in no time.

Wednesday, October 3
Group A – Attend the Workshop
Group B - Depart hotel and travel a short distance to Wilmington, DE to visit Nemours Mansion built by Alfred I. Dupont. Lunch will be on your own. Following lunch we will depart for Lititz where we will visit Sturgis Pretzel with a hands-on lesson in pretzel twisting and taste the results of 150 years of pretzel heritage.
Group A & B – Return to hotel to freshen up before heading out to the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre.

Thursday, October 4
Group B – Attend the Workshop
Group A –Depart hotel after meeting Guide for Farmlands Tour. Lunch on your own & shopping at Kitchen Kettle Village with time to explore the village of Intercourse shops along Main Street. We will then depart Kitchen Kettle Village to Bird in Hand Bake Shop and finish our day at the Bird in Hand Market.
Group A & B - Return to hotel to freshen up before departing for Rainbow Dinner Theatre.

Friday, October 5
Group B – Attend the Workshop

Group B – Attend the Workshop

Depart hotel at 7:30 am for home travelling up the I-95 to Houlton where we have a brief stop to check out the candy in the Duty Free Shop.
